Arid'Nu is an imaginary planet, with harsh environmental conditions on it's surface where the machines have evolved. There they dwell, picking up carbon particles from the air for sustenance and claw themselves up the rocks reshaping their bodies in an effort to gain more control of the planets carbon supply.
  But to us Arid'Nu is not only an imaginary space. It's a design tool. A way to envision what technology could be without the need to adhere to the conventional rules we know as reality. Working with novel or hypothetical materials and scenarios require a process in which narration and imagination play an important role. It allows applying the practical as well as theoretical knowledge as a tool in the design of future scenarios.
